Why can Metals Pose a Safety Hazard Near an Electric Stove?

As we all know metals are very good conductors of heat and electricity because of their free electrons, we must be attentive while placing metal objects near an electric stove.

It’s normally okay to have metal things in the kitchen but they must not be in touch with the electric appliances.
